Its actually quite simple. You cut a stencil out for each layer of the rose, each layer looking like a flat 5 petal flower on sheet metal, slowly decreasing size. You then get a metal rod for the stem. you drill holes in the flower stencils (in perfect cent and slide them onto the rod. I usually do it one layer at a time. Starting with the smallest layer (the bud) your use pliers and a torch to heat the metal and then shape it with the pliers, adding on layers to slowly form the flower. When finished with the layers you have to weld the bud to the rod with a tac welder. Then slide the other layers over, welding the bottom layer. Finally, for an added touch, you can cut out leave shapes, use an anvil and hammer and chisel to make lines, and then tac weld the leavs on.
